Following the continued success of The Emerald Group we are delighted to announce that today sees us expand our reach and open our first office in the US, based out of Portland, Oregon!
The US operation will be led by Fiona Gladden, who brings over 20 years of recruitment experience to her role as Director of US Actuarial Search.
Executive Director Steve Stubbings says “this is a very exciting time for everyone at Emerald. We are delighted to welcome Fiona to the business and believe that the collaboration of Fiona’s extensive recruitment background and West Coast market knowledge, combined with our strategic and consultative approach will bring something new to the US actuarial market. In the first instance we will be focused on core actuarial markets of Healthcare, General Insurance and Life Insurance, before expanding further over time. We will look to provide a more strategic recruitment partnership to domestic providers which we feel is missing from the market currently.”
Prior to joining The Emerald Group, Fiona spent 12 years with one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the US, where she built an in-house executive recruitment function before supporting the organization in growing their leadership talent from within. Fiona’s approach to recruitment is about investing the time to understand the needs and wants of both clients and candidates, to find the perfect match. She is then able to leverage a deep knowledge of both talent management and career planning to guide both parties in achieving their respective goals.
